SmartDriving has launched a free theory test & hazard perception app deemed the first of its kind in the UK. Book Theory Test Today looks at the benefits to learners.
The new theory test & hazard perception app launched by SmartDriving is understood to be the first totally free app available for UK learner drivers.
SmartDriving
Book Theory Test Today says: “SmartDriving is a renowned company in the driver training industry. They have provided services for driving instructors for many years and now they’re bringing their experience into driver training directly with the launch of the free theory test app for learner drivers.â€
The free theory test app is the first product from SmartDriving that targets learner drivers directly. The app will help them with their preparations for the theory and hazard perception tests, which drivers in training are required to pass before they can book a DVSA practical test.Â
First free theory test app
Although theory test apps are nothing new, up until now learners have had to pay for them or end up getting inundated with adverts from suppliers trying to persuade them to buy their app.
Book Theory Test Today says: “The cost of motoring for learners is already high so there’s obviously more incentive to download the new, free theory test app developed by SmartDriving.â€
The app itself is also the first full-featured test preparation app that has been made available to ‘trainee drivers’ completely free-of-charge
Free resources for learners
John Farlam, the founder of SmartDriving, said: “We have long believed that theory test preparation resources should be free for learners in the same way that the online Highway Code is, and we are now proud to be the first UK Company to make free learning a reality.â€
About the app
The free theory test app features multiple choice questions and can stream video clips that show all aspects of learning to drive. There’s access to official Government advice and information and it’s available on both Android and Apple platforms, plus as a web app making it accessible on virtually every Mac, PC, tablet or phone.
Adam Bragg, development manager for the free theory test app, said: “We are currently developing a range of resources to help learners to get the best from their practical driving lessons by learning at home – there are more free apps on the way soon as well as new resources for driving instructors – our aim is to become the leading name in UK driver training.â€
