Book Theory Test Today’s guide to theory test apps – part two

With so many theory test apps now available, replacing the old-school CD roms and book resources, it’s difficult to know which will actually help you. Book Theory Test Today reviews some of the most popular theory test apps.

You’re probably finding that learning to drive is highly expensive, right? There’s no way to learn to drive on the cheap, unless you’re fortunate enough to have a friend or relative who is ready to guide you to theory test and practical exam glory. However, it’s a long road and finding someone with that sort of patience, even a friend or relative, is tough.

Without such help, you want to be able to get through the learning process as fast as possible, paying for as few lessons as possible. Thankfully, some of the apps available today can help you with your theory test and practical driving exam.

In part one, we covered a couple of theory test apps that are popular among learner drivers. Here are a couple more…

App three – Driving Test Success: Theory Test

Considered one of the top apps for helping to etch answers to theory test questions into your memory, this app allows you to tackle a full-on, timed mock theory test. You have just 60 minutes to complete 50 questions.

However, if you don’t have that sort of time, you can spend 10 minutes working through some random questions or specific questions from a particular category of driving theory you need to improve upon.

The free version of the app gives you just 10% of the full set of driving theory test questions. There are more than 1,200 in the complete version. It will cost you £2.48 to get the full version, but it’s a small fee worth paying, especially if you don’t want to be taking your theory test more than once.

A bonus feature of this app is that it tracks your progress. You can see if your driving theory knowledge is improving or if it’s not!

App four – AA Theory Test for Car Drivers

If you’ve exhausted a number of driving theory test apps and become too familiar with them, then try this app. It allows you to experience a timed mock test, giving you 57 minutes to answer a multitude of questions. With the free version you’ll only get a small selection of official test questions, but an upgraded version costs just £1.99.

This app does more than just pose theory test questions, there are also questions designed to assist you with the DVSA practical test. These questions provide an insight into things to think about when you’re out on the road proper and will help you with your hazard perception.

Available on Android and iOS

The apps featured in this blog are available on Android and iOS. For Android, you can download them from Google Play. Downloads for iOS can be made via the App Store.
