With so many theory test apps now available, replacing the old-school CD roms and book resources, it’s difficult to know which will actually help you. Book Theory Test Today reviews some of the most popular theory test apps.
You’re probably finding that learning to drive is highly expensive, right? There’s no way to learn to drive on the cheap, unless you’re fortunate enough to have a friend or relative who is ready to guide you to theory test and practical exam glory. However, it’s a long road and finding someone with that sort of patience, even a friend or relative, is tough.
Without such help, you want to be able to get through the learning process as fast as possible, paying for as few lessons as possible. Thankfully, some of the apps available today can help you with your theory test and practical driving exam.
App one – Theory Test Pro
One of the top apps available to learner drivers is Theory Test Pro, which is a mobile version of a driving test program also available on your web browser. There is a full version cost of £3.99, but you can enjoy a free trial before deciding to commit.
Additionally, you’ll need to have a smartphone with a good amount of storage space. There’s a lot that’s packed into Theory Test Pro, in fact it has about 1GB of data (which is massive for the non-technical among you).
The app does have some great features though, covering all the essentials of the non-practical part of your driving test. You can study information that will help you with the theory and hazard perception aspects of the driving theory test and these things are good to have under your belt.
App two – Car Test: Hazard Perception CGI
The hazard perception element of the theory test has a reputation for being the toughest part. If it’s something you’re concerned about, then the Car Test: Hazard Perception CGI app is the one for you.
It uses official clips released by the DVSA, meaning you can perfect your hazard perception from your smartphone. Working much like the official theory test version, you can familiarise yourself with how hazard perception works and testing yourself to click at correct moments.
This app costs £1.99, with two additional volumes, also available at £1.99 each. There is a free version, but you only get one video clip at a time, but this does give you the chance to try it before committing to purchase.
Available on Android and iOS
The apps featured in this blog are available on Android and iOS. For Android, you can download them from Google Play. Downloads for iOS can be made via the App Store.Â
