Arriving at Wolverhampton Theory Test Centre

When you do not need a theory test
You must pass a theory test before booking a driving test to upgrade your license. From category A1 (small motorcycles) to category A2(medium motorcycles), you must be licensed for two years to get this upgrade. From category C1 (medium vehicle) to category C (Large Vehicles), you must be licensed longer than two years to get this license upgrade.
A minibus must tow a trailer. You do NOT need a theory test before booking a minibus.

For car and motorcycle tests, you must pay £23 for each part of the test. For lorries and buses, you must pay £26 for part 1a and £11 for part 1b.

AFTER YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR TEST
After completing your booking, you'll be sent an email confirming the date and time of your theory test. You should also get a confirmation letter from the DVSA. Print out both these letters and bring them with you to the test centre.

You should bring a printed copy of the email confirming your appointment, and if you still have an old style driving licence, you must also bring a photo card.
