London, Manchester, Wolverhampton.
Taking a test at one of these temporary centres
These temporary larger theory test centres won't be as big as normal ones. There will be strict rules about how many people can sit together. Safety precautions will be taken to make sure everyone stays safe.
Protective transparent screens at reception desks provide hand sanitiser to be used on arrival, during the test and when candidates leave the testing centre. Cleaning workstations include computers and headphones. Staff will wear a face covering if there is a medical reason why it is not recommended. Candidates must wear a face covering too if they have informed us beforehand that they cannot.
Candidates must come into the testing centre alone to help with the social distancing. Mobile phones must be turned off. Pupils will notice that there are many safety measures in place at the testing centre.
There are no lockers for students' personal belongings; they must keep them in a rigid plastic box and place it under their desks during the exam. Invigilators walk around the testing room, watching students take the test, and observe social distancing guidelines at every moment.
