Drivers of Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) must first pass a theory test just as car drivers do, before they can go on to take their practical lorry driving test. The DSA sets the questions for the theory tests and lorry drivers must get at least 75 out of the 100 multiple choice questions right. To help you revise for your test there are copies of the Highway Code available to buy, or you can read sections of the most up to date Highway Code right here on our website.
Your Local Theory Test Centre
Once you feel you are ready to take your theory test then you will need to book an appointment at your nearest theory test centre. Enter your postcode and we'll not only find your nearest test centre for you but will also tell you how to get there, what you will need to take with you and other relevant information about the theory test centre to help you when making your booking.
Book Your Lorry Theory Test Online

We would recommend you do this a few weeks in advance as the places can get booked up, but if you need an appointment beforehand then we can let you know should a cancellation arise.Book your theory test online and get peace of mind that your booking is safe and secure.
