Now you have to contend with being watched, despite having a licence in your hand proving you can drive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Well, spare a thought for new drivers in Essex, because a new campaign has been launched in order to reduce the number of fatal crashes that involve young, inexperienced drivers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">So, how is the campaign getting its message across &#8211; gruesome videos, a massive poster campaign or online messaging? No, the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcHonest Truth\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 campaign takes images of young men and women and photoshops their faces, replacing them with the heads of animals.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The <b>Book Theory Test Today<\/b> blogger says: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Yes, definitely a little bizarre, but each animal represents a negative driving trait. For example, the cheetah represents those drivers who violate speeds limits.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Other animals used in this rather curious campaign include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The Bulldog \u00e2\u20ac\u201c representing drink-drivers<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Chameleon \u00e2\u20ac\u201c representing drug users<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Parrot \u00e2\u20ac\u201c representing mobile phone users<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The <b>Book Theory Test Today<\/b> blogger says: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The campaign also uses the rhino to highlight how a passenger not wearing a seat belt can be sent crashing around a car with the same impact as a charging rhino.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The campaign will see a close working relationship between driving instructors, the fire and rescue service and road safety teams.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Learner drivers in particular will be a key target of the campaign in an effort to hammer home the message before they take to the road proper. All too often staff and officers deal with the tragic consequences of road traffic collisions involving young drivers and passengers.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">In a statement from Essex County Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cabinet member for highways and transportation, Rodney Bass, he said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153It is important to engage young people to ensure they drive safely. The partnership wants to drive these messages home before these young people take to the roads on their own, or with friends.
