The email should arrive approximately\ntwo weeks before your original test date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your new driving test date is estimated to be approximately\nthree months after your original test date, according to the latest coronavirus\ndriving test guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cancelling\na driving test <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to cancel a driving test and get a full refund,\nyou can. You will need to email the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)\ndirectly to cancel, or if you booked using the Book Theory Test Today service, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booktheorytesttoday.com\/?page=contact_us\">contact us<\/a> and we will\ncancel your test on your behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you contact the DVSA directly or cancel through us,\nyou will need to provide your full name and two of the following pieces of\ninformation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>your driving licence number <\/li><li>your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booktheorytesttoday.com\/book\/skip\">theory test<\/a> pass certificate number<\/li><li>your driving test booking reference<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To cancel directly with the DVSA, you can email <a href=\"mailto:customerservices@dvsa.gov.uk\">customerservices@dvsa.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you had another type of driving test booked, i.e. for a\nmotorcycle or lorry, your test will be cancelled and a full refund issued.\nHowever, coronavirus driving test guidance states that non-car driving tests\nwill NOT be automatically rebooked and you will need to rebook one driving test\nbooking services resume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Booking a\ndriving test<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Driving test bookings are currently not being taken, neither\nby us or the DVSA \u2013 except emergency bookings for key workers. Once normal booking\nservices do resume, people who had their test cancelled due to coronavirus will\nbe given first priority. This means that when you are able to book a test, you\nwill have to wait longer for a test date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Book a\ndriving test as a key worker<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re considered to be a key worker in any of the\nfollowing sectors\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>health and social care<\/li><li>education and childcare<\/li><li>key public services<\/li><li>local and national government<\/li><li>food and other necessary goods<\/li><li>public safety and national security<\/li><li>transport<\/li><li>utilities, communication and financial services<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2026 then you can apply for an emergency driving test, according\nto the latest coronavirus driving test guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, you will need to email the DVSA directly or contact\nus and we can book on your behalf. The following information will be required:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>your telephone number<\/li><li>your preferred test location<\/li><li>the type of driving test you would like to take (car, car and trailer,      motorcycle, lorry, bus or coach)<\/li><li>your driving licence number<\/li><li>the driving test reference number (if you have one)<\/li><li>your theory test certificate number<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the above information, you will need to send a\nscanned image of a valid form of ID, for example your work badge. If you do not\nhave an ID badge, you can send:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>an email from a work email address<\/li><li>evidence from your employer, such as an email or scanned document including company letterhead<\/li><li>a scan of your payslip<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The list is not exhaustive and evidence provided will be\nreviewed on a case by case basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply directly with the DVSA, you can email<a href=\"mailto:critical.worker.driving.test@dvsa.gov.uk\">critical.worker.driving.test@dvsa.gov.uk<\/a> or you can contact us to apply on your behalf, saving you valuable time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your emergency driving test application is successful, you\nwill be notified of what happens next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Preparing for your driving test with Book Theory Test Today<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why not use the coronavirus lockdown to prepare for your driving test?
