However, some of our study resources will be updated to reflect changes to the driving theory test made by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) as part of their 2019 strategic plan.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\tThe DVSA\u2019s 2019 theory test plans include the further development, trialling and analysing of <\/span><\/span>visual media clips<\/span><\/span><\/a> used as part of the exam. The DVSA sees <\/span><\/span>media clips as a potential alternative to better test a learner\u2019s ability to use the<\/span><\/span>ir driving knowledge in context.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\tThroughout 2018, a number of driving theory test and practical centres were closed, relocated or pending relocation. Since the start of 2019, Book Theory Test Today has heard that Huddersfield Driving Test Centre is likely to be relocated after its current <\/span><\/span>premises, Waverley House<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span>in Edgerton, <\/span><\/span>was put up for sale.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\tIt\u2019<\/span><\/span>s expected that <\/span><\/span>practical driving tests in <\/span><\/span>Huddersfield<\/span><\/span><\/a> will now be held at Abacus House in Bradley, after the DVSA secured planning permission to use the facility. However, this isn\u2019t guaranteed. It\u2019s possible that Huddersfield could be left without a test centre, leaving candidates to have to travel to Halifax or Heckmondwike to take a driving test.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\tAs the DVSA seeks to cut its operating costs, it\u2019s likely that more theory test centres and practical <\/span><\/span>exam facilities will be closed, most likely in locations where there is very little demand.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
