Remember, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s abbreviated to DSSSM to help learners digest the cockpit drill quickly. Now, let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s tackle steering.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Step Three \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Steering <\/strong>\u00e2\u20ac\u201c <strong>What needs to be checked<\/strong>?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The steering wheel<\/strong> \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Going back to part one, your seat needs to be set so that you can comfortably control the steering wheel. The head rest setting can affect your ability to steer a vehicle correctly. However, it serves a more important purpose in that it can help to reduce neck injuries in the event of a collision from the rear. Most modern vehicles tend to have large headrests, putting the driver in a good position by default.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">However, if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re driving an older vehicle, chances are you will have to adjust the headrest.
