A female road rage driver has been filmed flipping the finger at a learner driver. The learner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcoffence\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 – giving way to an ambulance responding to an emergency call.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s never acceptable to make obscene gestures to other motorists, let alone to a learner and a learner who was giving way to an ambulance probably on its way to attend a life or death scene. What if the ambulance was attending the scene of a child facing a life-threatening situation?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n

The film shows the irate, road rage driver aiming obscene hand gestures at the learner because she was forced to slow down as a result of the learner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sensible actions. The clip was filmed from the rear of the learner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s vehicle and captures the woman sticking up her middle finger.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interestingly, the road rage driver seemed totally oblivious to the ambulance, although its blue lights were flashing and sirens were blazing. The clip, which is just a minute long, was posted on the Facebook page \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Idiot UK Drivers Exposed. The video<\/strong><\/a> has already been viewed over 600,000 times.<\/span><\/p>\n

Road rage driver filmed by driving instructor<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Using a rear-view camera, driving instructor Darren Willet \u00e2\u20ac\u201c who operates Willett’s School of Driving \u00e2\u20ac\u201c filmed the woman\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s moment of road rage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Commenting on Facebook, Mr Willet said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I am always telling my pupils why they need to be checking their mirrors and I think the lovely lady behind us needs some re-training on this subject.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I asked my student driver to pull over to a safe position to give way to the approaching ambulance. Should we have continued along the carriageway, the ambulance would have found it difficult to pass by as there was a busy junction up ahead. From the video clip, you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll notice the woman looking completely bemused as to why we pulled in.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Willet went on to say that he had indicated to the woman to look behind her while pointing to the internal rear view mirror of his vehicle to make the woman aware. The video shows that the road rage driver\u00c2\u00a0 doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even attempt to get out of the way of the ambulance because she\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s clueless to what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s going.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr Willet said that he was alarmed by her actions and that if he was her, he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d have felt embarrassed by his failure to get out of the way of an emergency vehicle potentially on its way to saving\u00c2\u00a0someone\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s life.<\/span><\/p>\n

It goes to show that some learners are more clued-up than so-called \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcexperienced\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 drivers. As for the road rage driver she could do with switching places with the learner, she needs teaching about road etiquette when it comes to emergency vehicles.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n
