The course must be completed by a learner motorcyclist or moped rider and is valid for two years from the date of completion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Any learner motorcyclist or moped rider must take the CBT course under the supervision of a qualified motorcycle instructor who is registered with a recognised Approved Training Body (ATB). However, if you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re learning to ride a moped and you obtained a car driving licence before February 1, 2001 you are not required to complete a CBT course.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m a learner motorcyclist in Northern Ireland, what are the rules for me?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The CBT course was not introduced in Northern Ireland until 2011. From February 21, 2011 a learner motorcyclist or moped rider in Northern Ireland is required to complete the CBT course. A learner motorcyclist or moped rider who acquired their provisional licence before CBT was introduced had to pass their test before February 21, 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If a learner motorcyclist or moped rider did not pass their practical motorcycle test before this date they were required to take the CBT course. If you do not pass your full motorcycle test within this 2 year period you will need to complete another CBT course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Bear in mind that the CBT certificate of completion is a legal document as it proves that you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re entitled to operate a motorcycle or moped as provisional rider.
