Book Theory Test Today explores&#8230;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><!--more--><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.booktheorytesttoday.com\/book\/skip\"><strong>Book Theory Test Today<\/strong><\/a> says: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road is&#8230;the A591 between Kendal and Keswick, offering an array of bends, acceleration opportunities, speed and braking while taking in some of Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s most stunning scenery.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Who says this is Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t worry, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not some crackpot, nor is it a road expert &#8211; it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s actually a quantum physicist \u00e2\u20ac\u201c who has devised a scientific formula to discover Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The result of Dr Mark Hadley\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s calculations determined the A591 from Kendal to Keswick to be Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The formula factored in acceleration, bends, braking and speed in vehicles that included a Jaguar, Mercedes and a Porsche.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The 30-mile stretch of road offers spectacular views of the Lake District passing through Lakeland Fells and along the banks of Windermere and Thirlmere. \u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dr Hadley, based at Warwick University, came up with the formula for car rental company Avis. It was devised to settle a long-running debate among car club enthusiasts who disagreed on which of Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s roads was best.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Formula factors deciding Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Dr Hadley said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153There are four key phases of a drive, bends, acceleration, cruising and braking. A great driving road strikes just the right balance between the phases so you get the exhilaration of speed and acceleration, while corners test your driving capabilities and long stretches allow you to enjoy the scenery.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The second of Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best roads is the B3515, which stretches from Cheddar to Ashwick and offers a stunning 14 mile view of the Somerset countryside, featuring cliff faces on either side of the highway and various bends through the gorge.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Third place was awarded to the A535 stretch between Holmes Chapel and Alderley Edge in Cheshire, where you can view the 90-metre Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Overseas <\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As well as determining Britain\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best road, the formula was also applied abroad. In Portugal, the N-222 from Peso de R\u00c3\u00a9gua to Pinh\u00c3\u00a3o was deemed to be the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best driving experience. This route passes right through the heart of the Douro Valley landscape, offering incredible views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Boss of Avis UK, Mark Servodidio, said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Like so many fellow motoring enthusiasts, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been debating which is the world\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s best driving road probably since the day we were founded in 1946.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Through our ratio we finally have a definitive answer.
